Moorestown Firehouse To Host Arthur Collins Memorial Service

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Arthur John Collins, III, died on Oct. 27, 2020, at his home in Moorestown, NJ at the age of 80. Arthur was retired from Burlington County where he served as Controller for 27 years.

He was a life member of the Hose Company # 1 in Moorestown. He also served as the President of Moorestown Fire Company Relief Association and as Treasurer for many years. He was life member of the New Jersey State Fireman’s Relief Association.

Arthur served on Moorestown Board of Fire Commissioners for District One from 1972 through 2005. Art also was a life member of the Moorestown Emergency Medical Squad and served on the Board of Directors for many years as its treasurer. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Husband for 41 years of Frances (nee Walters). Survived by his sister Cynthia Luden and her children Eric and Susanna, his niece Shannon Collins and her children, Victoria and Sabrina.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2020, at the Moorestown Hose
Fire Company, 261 W. Main St. Moorestown, NJ. Walk through visitation is set for Monday, 9:30 a.m. to service time at the firehouse. Mask, social distancing and coronavirus attendance guidelines will be followed. Interment will take place at Colestown Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
