Moorestown Friends School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Moorsetown Friends is September 6. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Moorsetown Friends District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/6: First Day of School for Grades 1 - 12, Half day for PS, PK, and K
• 9/7: Half day for PS, PK, and K
• 9/21: Rosh Hashanah - No School

October

• 10/9: Fall Break - No School
• 10/11: College Visit Day for Seniors, No school for Grade 12
• 10/27: Half day for LS students

November

• 11/1: Faculty In-Service - No School
• 11/17: No school for students, LS/MS/US parent conferences
• 11/22: Noon dismissal for Thanksgiving holiday
• 11/23-24: No school, Thanksgiving holiday

December

• 12/18-1/1: Winter Break - No School

January

• 1/15: Martin Luther King Jr. Day - No School
• 1/29: Faculty In-Service - No School

February

• 2/16-19: President's Day Weekend - No School

March

• 3/2: No school for LS students, LS parent conferences
• 3/5: Faculty In-Service - No School
• 3/30: Good Friday - No School

April

• 4/2-6: Spring Break - No School
• 4/9: Faculty In-Service - No School
• 4/27: Half day for US students

May

• 5/28: Memorial Day - No School

June

• 6/7: Last Day of School for LS and Grade 5
• 6/8: No school for Grade 5 and LS students, LS parent conferences, Half day for MS/US students, Last Day of School
• 6/9: Commencement, Class of 2018
