Moorestown Library Celebrates Asian American Heritage Month
The Moorestown Library will celebrate Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Library will celebrate Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May with a film discussion, book talk and displays in the library and online. The library provided Patch with the following list of programs:
Tuesday, May 18, 7-8 pm
Let's Talk About Books!
Join us for a virtual chat about some great books. In honor of Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we will talk about books by API authors or books that highlight Asian history or culture. Let us know what you have read and enjoyed and get ready to add to your must-read list as you hear what library staff and other patrons recommend.
Monday, May 17, 7-8 pm
The Farewell: film discussion
Author and film critic Irv Slifkin will lead a discussion of The Farewell. In this funny, heartfelt story, Billi's (Awkwafina) family returns to China under the guise of a fake wedding to stealthily say goodbye to their beloved matriarch--the only person that doesn't know she only has a few weeks to live.
Watch the movie ahead of time, then join us on Zoom to discuss. The movie is available to borrow from the library or to stream on kanopy with a library card.
