Moorestown Lions Club Cancels Holiday Parade Amid Pandemic
The Lions Club cancelled what would have been its 60th annual parade to avoid any unnecessary health risks for participants and spectators.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Lions Club has cancelled its annual Holiday Parade that had been scheduled for Dec. 5 amid the coronavirus pandemic. This year's parade would have been the club's 60th annual event.
The club said it canceled the parade to avoid unnecessary health risks for adults and children who are participating in or viewing the parade.
“The club thanks the township and the many merchants and individuals who have generously contributed to the financial support of the parade over the years,” the club said in announcing the cancellation. “The Lion’s Club has every intention of holding the parade next year when hopefully COVID-19 will no longer be a factor and those who have assisted us in the past will have had the benefit of an improved economic climate to fund their continued support.”
