Moorestown Regal Screening Classic Star Wars Film For Anniversary
The Regal Cinema at the Moorestown Mall is screening, "The Empire Strikes Back" for the movie's 40th anniversary.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — It’s been 40 years since Darth Vader told Luke Skywalker, “I am your father.” If you weren’t alive to see it then, you can catch it now.
Regal Cinemas at the Moorestown Mall, reopened earlier this month amid the coronavirus pandemic, and is giving movie fans the chance to see some classic films.
The theater, located at 400 Route 38 in Moorestown, is currently showing the fifth (second?) installment of the Star Wars movie series, “The Empire Strikes Back.”

In the movie, Luke Skywalker begins training to become a Jedi Knight under the tutelage of Master Yoda. He prepares to face his arch-nemesis Darth Vader, only to learn a shocking revelation at the end of the film.
Of course, we all know what it is now, but it was quite the shock for many fans when the film first hit the big screen back in 1980.
