Moorestown School Board Considers Reopening Plans Tonight
The Moorestown Board of Education will hold a special meeting tonight to vote on options for reopening the schools.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Board of Education will vote on amendments to its reopening plan during a special meeting Thursday night.
The vote will take place following a presentation on taking steps forward to reopen schools, possibly up to 5 days a week for in-person learning for students in kindergarten through third grade.
When initially announced, it was labeled on the website as a workshop meeting, in which no official votes are typically taken. The board recently posted the agenda for the meeting, which labels it as a special meeting and includes a vote following a period of comments from the public.

Moorestown's current hybrid format calls for two days of in-person instruction and three days of remote learning. There is also a full-remote learning option, which would remain in place if any changes are made.
The meeting comes after the district sent out a survey to parents to garner their opinions on a possible return to a five-day school week for students in kindergarten through third grade. Read more here: Moorestown Schools Examine 5-Day In-Person Learning For Some
