Moorestown School Board To Discuss Expanded In-Person Learning

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Board of Education will discuss the possibility of expanded in-person learning for students in grades 4-12 when it meets virtually Tuesday night.

The discussion will take place under the "general updates," followed by a vote on first reading as it relates to appendices to the school district’s restart and recovery plan, according to the agenda for the meeting posted on the district’s website.

The survey was sent out after the board of education approved the district’s proposed plan to bring students in kindergarten through third grade back to school for in-person learning five days a week.

An amendment to that plan proposed by Board Member Mark Villanueva called on the administration to present a plan for a return to five-day instruction for grades 4-12 by the March 16 board meeting. Read more here: Moorestown Approves 5-Day In-Person School Day For Lower Grades

That meeting reached its Zoom capacity of 500 members of the public.

This week’s meeting will begin with the board going into closed session to discuss confidential items related to personnel and the attorney-client privilege.

The board will also discuss updates to the district's proposed budget during the "general updates" section.
