Moorestown Schools To Go Full Remote Week After Spring Break
The Moorestown Public School District will be in a full remote learning environment the week after spring break amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Public School District will be in a full remote learning environment the week after spring break amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“The District will operate on Full-Remote April 12-16, the week following Spring Break,” the district says in a post on its website.

As of April 1, 232 students districtwide are in quarantine, according to the district’s website. There have been 18 positive cases of the coronavirus detected in the district, with 14 cases among students learning in-person and four among remote learners.

According to the most recent numbers provided by the Burlington County Department of Health, there have been 1,380 cases of the coronavirus and 80 deaths in Moorestown since the pandemic began. Twelve new cases were reported in the township last week.

These plans included a reduction in social distancing with additional mitigation measures, but Gov. Phil Murphy recently changed the social distance restrictions in schools from 6 feet to 3 feet. Read more: Social Distance For Many NJ School Students Changes To 3 Feet
He has also urged schools to reopen now, and said that all schools will be fully reopened by the fall.
