Moorestown Schools Seek Public Input In Superintendent Search
The Moorestown Public School District has posted a stakeholder survey seeking public input as it searches for a permanent superintendent.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Public School District is asking for the community’s input as it searches for a permanent superintendent of schools.
The district published a link to a stakeholder survey on its website on Tuesday. It is seeking a permanent replacement for Scott McCartney, who is retiring effective June 30.
“Please offer your input by responding to the community stakeholder survey below by July 1,” district officials said. “We highly encourage you to share this link with friends, neighbors, and family members in the Moorestown community.”

Leonard Fitts will serve as the interim superintendent while the district seeks a permanent replacement. He was appointed to the role on June 8. Read more here: Moorestown School Board Appoints Interim Superintendent
Fitts has worked in school districts for over 40 years as a school psychologist, principal and county superintendent.

He has also served as interim superintendent in the Mahwah, Burlington City, West Berlin, Glassboro, Camden and Willingboro public school districts.
He will serve from July 1 through June 30 of next year, or until a permanent superintendent can be appointed. Illinois-based Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates is leading the search for a permanent superintendent.
The Board of Education has also announced that it will hold a special meeting at 8 a.m. on June 28. It will award bids and take personnel actions. That meeting will be held virtually, with a Zoom link to be posted at a later date.
