Moorestown Swim Coach Inducted Into NJ Coaches Hall Of Fame

MOORESTOWN, NJ - Moorestown High School swim coach Jeffrey DeNick was inducted into the New Jersey Coaches Hall of Fame on Sunday, March 24 by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSCA).

DeNick has more than 200 wins in 18 years and has lead the Quakers to four state finals appearances and back-to-back boys state swim championships in 2014 and 2015. In the summer, he coaches the Voorhees swim team in the highly competitive Tri-County Swimming Association.

“I am deeply honored to be inducted into the New Jersey Coaches Hall of Fame,” DeNick said. “There are some real legendary coaches in the New Jersey Coaches Hall ofFame, and I am extremely humbled to be part of it.”

DeNick has been named Coach of the Year six times during his career. He was named State Coach of the Year by the Star Ledger/NJ.com in 2014. He is also excited about building the legacy of the Voorhees swim team.

“We have a lot of talented swimmers on this team, and I am looking forward to turning these kids into competitive swimmers and to see what they can accomplish,” DeNick said.

DeNick’s other accomplishments include:

  • Leading his teams to 18 N.J. state playoff appearances in 18 years, four NJ State Finals appearances and two N.J. state championship titles.
  • 11 sectional finals, bringing home the championship title seven times.
  • Leading the Burlington County Swim League to a win streak of 75 consecutive meets.
  • Bringing home the Burlington County Swim League Championship title nine times.
  • Coaching eight Burlington County Times Swimmers of the Year
