Moorestown's Mad Science Winter Show Goes Virtual Dec. 18

The show will use a mix of magic and science to entertain and educate Moorestown children.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Public School District is closed through Jan. 8, but the district is still moving forward with everything it planned to do.

In addition to its remote learning model, the district’s Board of Education will continue to hold meetings and the science department will hold its Family Mad Science Winter Show.

The show will take place virtually at 7 p.m. on Dec. 18. According to the description on the district’s website:

“The 45-minute Mad Science Winter Holiday Special Event will have your children gasping and giggling at the Winter Science Experiments. Through a mixture of science and magic, the children will be mystified as a playing card vanishes and reappears as a neatly wrapped gift! Children will watch as a very special Snowman is magically defrosted right before their eyes! How can Jack Frost fill an eight-foot airbag with only one breath? What is this mysterious snow rock we are hearing about? Find out when our Mad Scientist shows you during an evening of giddy goodness and festive fun!”

The fee is $20 per family and spaces are limited. To register, e-mail mtpsedc@mtps.com with the following information: last name, number of family members participating and preferred e-mail. The registration deadline is Dec. 10.
