Moorestown's Pierce Cooper wins 100th College Tennis Match

Pierce Cooper registered his 100th career win on Tuesday for The College of New Jersey tennis team, according to the school’s Web site.

The Moorestown native and junior won two games in the Lions’ 9-0 shutout over visiting Muhlenberg College. Cooper reached the milestone with a 6-0, 6-0, singles win. The first victory – his 99th – came when he and doubles partner Billy Buchbinder won, 8-4.

Cooper is 10-2 in singles play, and 11-1 in doubles matches this season. The Lions are 10-2 overall.
