Moorestown's Safe Return To School Plan To Be Considered Tuesday
The Board of Education will discuss the plan during an in-person meeting that will stream live on YouTube.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Board of Education will consider the Moorestown Public School District’s Safe Return to Schools plan when it meets Tuesday night.
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at the William Allen Middle School. There will be limited capacity in-person; however, you may view the meeting via YouTube. Only those who attend the meeting will be able to make public comment.
Under the proposed plan, the school district will follow the state Department of Health’s guidelines for wearing masks, and adjust its practices accordingly.

In classrooms and the cafeteria, students and staff will follow the social distancing guidelines that are in place at the time, and furniture will be adjusted accordingly.
On school buses, physical distancing will be encouraged where possible, windows will be open for better ventilation, and buses will be sanitized between routes.

The district will return to a full-day in-person schedule that includes lunch, and will apply for a waiver to allow all students to get free lunches for the 2021-22 school year.

The district received guidance from the state on May 24, after Gov. Phil Murphy's announcement that all districts will return to full in-person instruction with no remote option for the 2021-22 academic year.

The return to full-day in-person instruction in September will mark the first time Moorestown students will attend school for an entire day since March 2020, and the district has said it wants to make the return as normal as possible.
