Moorestown's Scott Coffee Run Set For Saturday
The Scott Coffee Rotary Run returns to Moorestown this weekend, and residents can participate both virtually and in-person.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Scott Coffee Rotary Run returns to Moorestown this weekend, and residents can participate both virtually and in-person. The in-person run begins with an open start between 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Saturday, with participants engaging in either an 8K or 1-mile Walk/Run.
The course runs from the Community House to Main Street. The traffic-free USATF certified course passes through the historic, tree-lined streets of 300-year-old Moorestown. There are splits every mile and two water stops.
There will be temporary road closures between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. related to the event, Moorestown police said. Closures include Main Street, Mount Laurel Road and North Stanwick Road.

Officers will be posted throughout the route to assist with traffic. Those who must drive in the area should slow down and watch for runners.
Anyone who participates in the event virtually is invited to run/walk the distance on their own and submit their time to be added to the event’s leaderboard. Pictures can be posted to the website.

Those who participate virtually and in-person are invited to cap their experience with a cup of coffee.
The Scott Coffee Moorestown Rotary 8K is named for the founder of the race who die in the summer of 2006, according to the event’s Facebook page.
Proceeds benefit the activities of Moorestown Rotary Charities and the Scott Coffee Education Endowment for scholarships.
The race is presented by the Moorestown Rotary Club in cooperation with the Township of Moorestown, and the Moorestown Community House.
