MOORESTOWN, NJ — It might say “Food Sciences Corporation” on the outside, but 820 East Gate Drive in Mount Laurel is Moorestown Theater Company’s (MTC) temporary home for its fall programs. After the building MTC was using became unavailable, the company was left looking for a new place to call home.

There was space available for rent in the building located in the industrial complex that’s just outside Moorestown, MTC Artistic Director Mark Morgan said.

While programs, including rehearsals and auditions will be held there, the productions will still take place at various locations in Moorestown, Morgan said. Morgan didn't know how long the East Gate Drive building would be available to MTC, which is still looking for a permanent home for all its activities.

MTC has been working out of the new building for just over a week, and the company has 24/7 access to the facility. The building has a big parking lot, which helped when 75 people began rehearsals for “Frozen Jr.” on Saturday.

MTC is also holding its fall studio classes for acting, dancing and singing on the weekends and rehearsal all week. On Wednesday, Sept. 18; Thursday, Sept. 19; and Friday, Sept. 20; MTC will be holding auditions for “Disney’s Winnie The Pooh: Kids.” Kids ages 6-12 are eligible to audition. Auditions are 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
