MTC Presentation Of 'Disney's Aladdin Jr.' Opens Thursday

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Theater Company’s (MTC) will present an OLGC Drama Club production of “Disney’s Aladdin Jr.” The show opens at 6 p.m. Thursday. Performances will take place at MTC’s Outdoor Theater, weather permitting.

MTC’s Outdoor Theater is located behind the Bayada Home Health Care Building at 1 West Main Street. Chairs are provided, and all audience members are required to wear face masks. The cast and staff will be wearing clear face masks/shields.

Dates and times are as follows:

• Thursday, May 20, Friday, May 21 at 6 PM
• Saturday, May 22 at 10 AM & 6 PM
• Sunday, May 23 at 2 PM (Rain Date)

It will be performed by an 18-member cast of eighth-, seventh-, sixth-, and fifth-graders. This musical is adapted for pre-high school student performers, and is appropriate for audience members of all ages.

It is directed by MTC Producing Artistic Director and OLGC Parishioner Mark Morgan, vocal directed by MTC Managing Director Carol Ann Murray, and choreographed by Rider University Student and MTC Performer Casey Curcio.

Reserved tickets are $12, and can be ordered on the MTC Website, or at the door beginning one hour before curtain time. Small children, if they sit on the lap of a ticket purchaser, are free.

This two-time Academy Award-winning and Tony Award-winning family musical about Aladdin, Jasmine, Jafar, and everyone’s favorite Genie, features such great songs as “Friend Like Me,” “Prince Ali,” and “A Whole New World.”
