New Act Joins Opus Soul For Moorestown Monday Night Concert
Opus Soul and the Brian Richards Magic Show take center stage at the Community House Monday night.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — The rescheduled summer concert in Moorestown that will take place Monday night will have a new children’s act.
The Brian Richards Magic Show will perform at 6:30 p.m. on the Moorestown Community House lawn, according to the township website. It replaces Puppets Pizzaz, which was scheduled to be the opener for the show this week before it was postponed due to heat.
Opus Soul will remain the main act, and take the stage at 7:15 p.m. Opus Sould offers an eclectic mix of blues, funk, jazz and rock.

Thom Kent and Pete Romano formed the Moorestown-based band back in 1995, according to the band’s website. They had met while studying music and what was then known as Burlington County College.
They went their separate ways for several years, pursuing their own musical interests before reuniting. With a diverse background, they come together to perform everything from modern renditions of early R&B and Blues classics to John Coltrane, Eric Clapton, Little Feat, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits and Bob Marley. They also perform original pieces.

Brian Richards fell in love with magic when he received a magic set for Christmas at the age of six, according to his website. He was being paid for performances by the time he as 10, and would later go on to open for Ellen Degeneres, Kevin James, and Jeff Dunham, as well as other comedians.

The Aug. 3, 10 and 17 shows will take place at the Community House, and the final two shows will take place at the Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown.
