Perkins Center Offers Summer Camps For Moorestown Children

The Perkins Center for the Arts offers 2-week long, art-intensive STEAM summer camps for children ages 5-14.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown offers 2-week long, art-intensive STEAM summer camps for children ages 5-14, the center announced. Camps include pottery, dance, improv, painting, storytelling, and sculpture.

Each session will also include a field trip to a museum, environmental site, or cultural center and each session concludes with Final Friday, an art and performance showcase for families. This is a camp that takes art beyond paint and paper, utilizing teaching artists to explore new disciplines in a full day arts immersion program.

For the first time this year, there will be a Teen Arts Lab. For youth ages 12-14, Teen Arts Lab is a two-week intensive for youth seriously into multimedia, collaboration, and creation.

Camps run June 24 through Aug. 16, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Before and after care is available. Campers may register for multiple sessions. Projects, teaching artists and field trips vary with each session.
