'Slices 4 Safety' Connects Moorestown Police To Community

Moorestown police are giving tickets for one slice of pizza to kids who are doing the right thing.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — For the second straight year, Moorestown police are finding a way to connect with the community through pizza. The police department’s second Slices 4 Safety campaign is currently underway, through June 30.

Officers are handing out tickets to children who are observed riding bikes with helmets, using crosswalks and sidewalks, wearing seatbelts, waiting for rides in well-lit areas, playing outside, and overall just being good kids.

These aren’t the typical tickets our officers normally issue. These tickets are worth one free slice of plain pizza fromCarollo’s Little Italy, 77 East Main Street.
