South Jersey Coaches Soccer Tournament Canceled Amid Pandemic

The South Jersey Soccer Coaches Association announced on Thursday that it was canceling its annual coaches tournaments due to coroanvirus.

A staple of the South Jersey high school soccer season has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The South Jersey Soccer Coaches Association’s coaches tournaments have been canceled for this fall, the organization announced on its website on Thursday.

“Due to the need to have unbalanced schedules and limited scheduling set forth by the NJSIAA, and conferences not choosing All Conference teams, we regrettably will not be holding a 2020 Coaches Tournament, selecting All SJ teams or holding an All SJ banquet,” the group said in a statement on its website. “We hold out hope to hold a Senior All Star game and will look to continue to award scholarships.”
