These Moorestown Businesses Got The Most CARES Act Money

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The federal government has sent more than $2.4 billion to companies in New Jersey for coronavirus relief efforts since Congress passed the CARES Act in March.

Nearly $960,000 of that federal money ended up in Moorestown, including funding from the U.S. Forest Service, according to the Federal Procurement Data System.

Much of the funding has so far gone to Global Geeks Forest Service, who will receive the funding from the Forest Service. It received two payments, of $757,170 and $202,410.

Lockheed Martin, one of the biggest employers in Burlington County, will also receive funding, but no exact amounts have yet been determined.

Congress passed the $2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act on March 27. In addition to direct aid to people who lost their jobs and the Paycheck Protection Program to help small businesses avoid laying off workers, the act included direct government spending for fighting the coronavirus.
