Armed New Brunswick Carjacking Thursday Morning

A man armed with a gun approached another man at his car early Thursday on Hamilton Street and drove off with his car, said police.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — There was a carjacking at gunpoint in New Brunswick in the early morning hours of Thursday, police report, and someone's car was stolen.

In the early morning hours of Thursday, in the area of Hamilton Street, the victim told police he was approached by a man with a handgun while he was at his car.

The man took his car as well as other property of his and drove off, said New Brunswick police.

The man was not injured in the crime. New Brunswick police are warning the public to be aware of their surroundings. The only description of the suspect given by police was that he was a light-skinned man.
