Baby Fawn Found in New Brunswick

The fawn was found Tuesday afternoon on George Street near Landing Lane, Animal Control officers said.

New Brunswick, NJ - This baby fawn was found this week in New Brunswick.

The fawn was found Tuesday afternoon on George Street near Landing Lane. Animal Control officers responded to a report of an abandoned fawn lying on the side of the road.

"The fawn was found in the gutter on the side of a very busy intersection," said city spokeswoman Jennifer Bradshaw. "Our animal control officers have reason to believe the mother wasn't coming back for it. Plus, to leave it there would create a dangerous situation for both the fawn and the drivers that travel there."
