"Code Blue" Declared in New Brunswick Thursday Night
The city's homeless are urged to go to Elijah's Promise tonight to shelter from the storm.

Elijah's Promise will open its doors to the city's homeless population tonight to serve as shelter from the expected snow and freezing temperatures.Â
The Elijah's Promise Soup Kitchen at 18 Neilson St. will be open from 8 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Jan. 2 to 7 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, according to a Nixle alert from the New Brunswick Police Department.
The city's emergency responders will provide transportation to those people who cannot easily walk there. They will also head out into the city to locate people in need of shelter tonight, according to the alert.
Call the Homeless Hotline at 2-1-1 or (877) 652-1148 to request assistance or alert emergency responders to a person on the street who may need help, according to the alert.Â
Those seeking a shelter with beds are asked to go to the nearby Ozanam Shelter at 20 Abeel St., according to the alert.                                                                        Â
