Make Way for the Plows: Parking Authority to Open Decks for Free at 4 p.m.

The New Brunswick Parking Authority allows residents to park for free in decks around town during snow storms.

In anticipation of today's snow storm, the New Brunswick Parking Authority will open the Morris Street, New Street, Plum Street, Wellness Plaza and Wolfson parking decks at 4 p.m. Thursday for city residents to park for free.

According to the Parking Authority Nixle, anyone wishing to park must show proof of residency when entering the deck.

Cars may remain in the deck until 8 a.m. the following morning, unless an emergency remains in effect, according to the Parking Authority.

During snow emergencies, the city also bans parking on a number of streets. Click here to see the list.
