New Brunswick After the Snow Storm: Free Parking Extended, Warming Stations Open
Rutgers will resume classes at noon.

As New Brunswick digs out from the snow, schools remain closed for the day and warming stations are open. Here are some updates for what's happening around town today, Wednesday, Jan 22:
- Schools are closed today.
- The New Brunswick Parking Authority has extended the hours for free parking in city decks while streets are plowed. Cars must now be removed by 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 to avoid being charged.Â
- Elijah's Promise will again host the city's homeless residents tonight as part of Code Blue. The soup kitchen will shelter anyone without a place to stay from 8 p.m. tonight through 7 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23.
- Warming stations are available around New Brunswick for people without adequate heat. For more information, click here.Â
- Rutgers will resume classes at noon today.Â

Thursday will bring a slight chance of snow showers after 1 p.m. with a high near 23 degrees. That wind chill will make it feel as cold as negative 10 degrees, according to the forecast.Â
