The open streets event will close 3.2 miles of roads to vehicular traffic and open them up for walking, running, biking, skating and other fun activities.

“New Brunswick Ciclovia promotes the idea that our streets are a public asset that should be available to everyone,” a news release from the city said. “With more open space available for exercise and active living, residents can improve their health and outlook, create stronger connections with the community and simply enjoy their City on a deeper level.”

There will also be free water and bike repair stations set up.
