New Brunswick Community Farmers Market To Open For The Season

The New Brunswick Community Farmers Market will open for the season in New Brunswick on June 19.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — The New Brunswick Community Farmers Market will open for the season in New Brunswick on June 19.

Fresh and local fruits and vegetables, local honey, baked goods, prepared foods, flowers and craft items will be available for purchase now through the end of October at the market's two locations.

The Market will again operate at two locations:

  • The Market Pavilion at 178 Jones Avenue, open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays
  • Kilmer Square Park, 108 Albany St., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays (opens June 23)

Customers will be able to "Double Your Snap" up to $10 per day, and the Market will also accept and double WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Vouchers up to $10 per day.

The New Brunswick Community Farmers Market is a joint project in partnership with the City of New Brunswick, Rutgers Cooperative Extension, Johnson & Johnson and the Garden State Good Food Network.
