NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — The city of New Brunswick has again declared a Code Blue in the brutally cold temperatures, and declared that the Henry Guest House will be open overnight Friday as a warming center between the hours of 7 p.m. Friday, and 7 a.m. Saturday.

The Henry Guest House is located at 58 Livingston Avenue (next to the New Brunswick Free Public Library). Code Blue goes into effect in New Brunswick when temperatures dip below 20 degrees and/or there is an accumulation of at least six inches of snow on the ground. Warming centers are opened to provide a warm and dry place for residents without adequate shelter.

Please be advised that we attempt to accommodate all guests but space is limited. Volunteers are sought to assist with Code Blue shelter staffing. Anyone in need of shelter or social services is encouraged to call 2-1-1 for assistance.
