New Brunswick: Our Town

The New Brunswick Free Public Library is accepting submissions for its annual photography contest.

"New Brunswick: Our Town" is the theme of the Seventh Annual Spring Photography Contest, presented by the New Brunswick Free Public Library.

The library is currently accepting submissions for the annual contest, which must capture life in New Brunswick or New Brunswick history.

Photos must be taken between January 2 and March 15, 2014, according to a press release from the library. 

Contest entries will be put on display at the Heldrich Hotel, George Street Playhouse, and at the library. The winners of the contest will be announced at a reception scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at the library.

As part of the contest season, the library will offer three free photography workshops, led by professional photographers Andrew Darlow, Walter Choroszewski and Bill Blanchard. 

“Portrait Photography Tips and Techniques” will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19.

“Digital Photography: Editing & Organizing” will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26.

“Basics of Good Photography” will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 5.
