Piscataway Man Tried To Meet Teen, 15, For Sex, Police Allege

A Piscataway man was arrested in Secaucus last week after police said he went there to meet a 15-year-old girl he met online.

PISCATAWAY, NJ — A Piscataway man was arrested in Secaucus last week after police said he went there to meet a 15-year-old girl he met online.

Secaucus Police said they received information that Barry Sloben, 45, of Piscataway, engaged in a conversation with a girl who he believed was 15 years old via an Internet dating site.

On the same date, Sloben traveled to the Secaucus Walmart for the purpose of sex with the minor, although he was unsuccessful in that attempt, said Secaucus Police.

At 8:26 p.m. on April 26, Sloben was arrested and charged with enticing a minor.

Sloben was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
