Police Arrest Three Men in Louis Street Home Invasion

Three men broke into and ransacked a Louis street basement apartment on Saturday while two women were home, police say.

Three men were arrested as they fled the scene of a Louis Street home invasion and burglary on Saturday.

Police stopped a silver Hyundai at 7:45 p.m. Saturday less than a block from a Louis Street basement apartment that reported intruders while two female tenants were home, according to a press release from the New Brunswick Police Department. 

The basement was pillaged, but nothing was taken, according to the release.

The three men in the Hyundai were identified as the suspects wanted in the invasion after police found two loaded handguns, one of which was stolen, ski masks, a book bag and clothing in the car that matched descriptions given by the victims, according to the release. 

Juan K. Dunlap, 31, of Somerset was charged with Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and Certain Persons Not to Possess a Weapon.

Rick L. Barley, 54, of Somerset was charged with Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and Receiving Stolen Property.

Donte R. Crumidy, 36, of New Brunswick charged with Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.

The women, ages 22 and 50, were not injured during the home invasion, according to the release.
