Power Outages Thursday in New Brunswick

New Brunswick, NJ - Due to Wednesday night’s storm, there are several power outages and traffic light outages through town.

There are power outages along Jersey Avenue from Handy Street to How Lane. There are also traffic signals out along French Street at the intersections of Handy Street, Suydam Street and Joyce Kilmer Avenue. Patterson Street between George Street and Elm Road is CLOSED.

Expect delays and detours Thursday morning, police warn. More than 17,000 homes, mainly in South Jersey, still did not have electricity Thursday morning, as the storm’s high winds took down branches and power lines.
