Rt. 18 South In New Brunswick Closed Due To Flooding

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Rt. 18 southbound near the George Street ramp is CLOSED due to flooding, New Brunswick police announced as of 8 a.m. Monday morning.

Drivers should plan alternate routes. Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph are expected Monday morning as a series of strong thunderstorms moves through New Jersey. There are flash flood warnings throughout the state, and there may be additional heavy downpours Monday afternoon.
