Rutgers Grad Signs With Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers announced they signed free agent forward Kadeem Jack to a contract, according to Rutgers. He graduated in May.

A former Rutgers basketball standout has signed with the NBA’s Indiana Pacers.
On Wednesday the Pacers announced they signed free agent forward Kadeem Jack to a contract, a Rutgers news release said.

Jack was a two-time team captain at Rutgers, where he scored 1,044 points from 2011 to 2015.


As a senior, he averaged 13.0 points and 6.4 rebounds-per-game and earned All-Metropolitan honors for a second consecutive season.

He is tied at the number 11 spot in school history with 100 blocks, and he is one of 41 players to gain more than 1,000 career points.


He was also a 2014-15 Big Ten All-Academic honoree and was named to the Big East All-Academic Teams in the 2012-13 and 2011-12 seasons.
He graduated in May with a degree in Journalism and Mass Media Studies and a minor in Labor and Employment Relations.


Ten other Rutgers players have competed in the NBA or ABA: James Bailey (1980-88), John Battle (1986-95), Hollis Copeland (1980-82), Quincy Douby (2007-09), Bob Greacen (1970-72), Roy Hinson (1984-91), Eddie Jordan (1978-84), Bob Lloyd (1968-69), Hamady Ndiaye (2011-14) and Phil Sellers (1976-77).
