Rutgers Women's Basketball Player Arrested, Suspended
Caitlin Jenkins, a senior forward, has been suspended from the women's basketball team, a spokesman for Rutgers University confirmed.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A senior forward on the Rutgers women's basketball team has been suspended after she was arrested this weekend in connection with a domestic violence incident.
A spokesman for the Rutgers University athletic department confirmed to Patch that Caitlin Jenkins has been suspended from the program.
Jenkins was arrested this past Saturday afternoon; she was charged with simple assault and criminal mischief in connection with a domestic violence incident, Capt. Joseph Miller of the New Brunswick police department confirmed to Patch.

She was arrested Saturday afternoon in Piscataway, and she was taken into custody by Rutgers campus police, but the case originated in the city of New Brunswick, Capt. Miller said.
According to her Scarlet Knights player profile, Jenkins is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana. According to her junior year stats, she was not a starter on the team and averaged 5.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 1.6 blocks per game.
