18 Ocean City Students Commit To College Sports

OCEAN CITY, N.J. — Eighteen Ocean City High School students were honored at the school's Signing Day on Tuesday. This was one of the largest Signing Day groups in Ocean City history, according to Athletic Director Vince Leavey.

OCHS's Signing Day is modeled after National Signing Day, when high school seniors sign a National Letter of Intent to compete collegiately.

"It just shows the depth of our athletic accomplishments throughout our many sports programs," Leavey said.

The following student were honored:

• Mackenzie Matura – Track & Field – Rowan University
• Hunter Paone – Soccer – East Stroudsburg University
• Trevor Paone – Soccer – East Stroudsburg University
• Tanis McDonnell – Soccer – Immaculata University
• Delaney Gould – Lacrosse – Lynn College
• Ashley Vitiello – Softball – Allegheny College
• Marty Cattie – Lacrosse – Salisbury University
• Nate Hays – Swimming – Hamilton College
• Luke Varallo – Soccer – Stevenson College
• Joey Sacco – Basketball – Vassar College
• Kasey Clifford – Golf – Westminster College
• Avery Panico – Crew – Drexel University
• Rebecca Dubbs – Crew – Marietta College
• Brandon Lin – Football – Ursinus College
• Austin Green – Football – Ursinus College
• Anthony Inserra – Lacrosse – Immaculata University
• Francesca Trimble – Diving – The College of New Jersey
