2 ID'd In Death Investigation In Cape May County: Prosecutor

The Cape May County Prosecutor's Office has identified the two people who were found dead in a Villas home on Monday.

VILLAS, NJ — The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office has identified the two people who were found dead in a Villas home on Monday.

Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland reported on Wednesday that the two people who died were Kristin Ryan, 39, and Rick Ryan, 45, both of the Villas section of Lower Township.

The Lower Township Police Department responded to a home on Cardinal Avenue on Monday morning to check the well-being of the occupants. Upon arrival, police officers found two deceased individuals, the CMCPO said.

Based on the preliminary investigation, Prosecutor Sutherland said the incident appears to have been a murder/suicide. Detectives believe Rick Ryan shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself, the CMCPO said.
