3 Things To Do For Halloween In Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The parade is canceled, but Halloween is not. Here are some Ocean City activities for the upcoming holiday.

Trick-or-Treat

Officials set trick-or-treating hours to 4-7 p.m. Oct. 31. The New Jersey Department of Health issued guidance with the following recommendations:

  • Effective face coverings: Trick-or-treaters and families passing out treats should wear masks. Costume masks are not an acceptable substitute for cloth or disposable masks.
  • Social distancing: Trick-or-treaters should limit their groups to household members and maintain social distancing between others.
  • Be healthy: Nobody should participate in these activities if they have been exposed to COVID-19, are sick or symptomatic, or have not yet completed isolation after a COVID-19 diagnosis.
  • Limit shared contact: Arrange individually packaged candy so that trick-or-treaters can grab and go outside without touching a shared bowl.

Skate Park Event

The Ocean City Skate Park will host a Halloween event with prizes for best trick and costume. Free candy and music will be available. The skate runs from 4 p.m. until dusk Oct. 31.

Trunk or Treat

JiLLy's will host a trunk or treat from 3-4 p.m. Oct. 31 in the arcade parking lot. The event will feature free candy, music by DJ Ghost, appearances from Fry Guy and a chance to win a $5 fun card.

JiLLy's will also hold contests for best costume and best decorated car. Preregistration for the car competition is required.
