NEW JERSEY — There's plenty to see and do at the Jersey Shore this season.

Many annual events are returning this spring and summer after the coronavirus pandemic canceled them last year.

The Jersey Shore is bustling with activities and events for people to look forward to every week.

Seaside Heights Restaurant Week

"A Taste of Seaside Heights" Restaurant Week kicked off Friday and continues through Sunday, May 23.

Jimbo's Bar & Grill, Spicy Cantina and Just Breakfast are among the 11 participating restaurants offering a variety of meal deals. A complete list of participating restaurants and offerings can be found online.

Diners can also enter to win prizes on the Restaurant Week website, including restaurant gift cards and two free 2021 Seaside Heights daily beach badge coupons.

Live Music Around Asbury Park

Asbury Park is known for having live music on every corner. Here’s a few acts playing this week and where to find them.

  • Thursday, 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. - The Gumbo Gumbas at Tim McLoone’s Supper Club
  • Friday, 8 - 11 p.m. - Jazz with The Wright Trio at Langosta Lounge
  • Saturday, 7:30 p.m. - Christine Martucci at the Wonder Bar
  • Saturday, 8 - 10 p.m. - KQYHT & Shaune Pony Heath at Langosta Lounge
  • Saturday, 8 p.m. - Carl Gentry Band at Tim McLoone’s Supper Club
  • Sunday, 1-3 p.m. - Jet Weston and his Atomic Ranch Hands at Langosta Lounge

Wine Festival In Wildwood

There will be over 100 refreshing New Jersey wines to sip and sample at the Pour Into Summer Wine Festival on May 22 and 23.

These New Jersey wineries will be filling glasses at the festival: DiMatteo Vineyards, Terra Nonno Winery, Salem Oak Vineyards, White Horse Winery, Villari Vineyard and Wagonhouse Winery.

The festival will feature live music, artisan crafts and food truck fare. Tickets can be purchased online or at the event gate with cash only. The ticket price includes a sampling glass.

Red Bank Art Show

Jersey City artist Leslie Sheryll will showcase her work on Friday at the Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank.

A live opening reception for her new exhibit will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. There is free parking at the Oyster Point Hotel, which overlooks the Navesink River.

Alongside Sheryll, New York artist Heidi L. Johnson will present her large, colorful paintings that depict exotic birds and animals.

Unwind With Beach Yoga

The Neptune-based yoga studio, Meta Yoga, hosts beach sessions on weekends all summer long in Belmar at the Shark River Inlet.

Attendees must pre-register online and bring their own mat or towel. Each session costs $12 per person or participants can purchase sessions for the entire summer.

The group meets at the last beach entrance in Belmar before the bridge to Avon, down by the ocean and jetty. Parking along 1st or 2nd Avenue is free.
