Acclaimed Local BBQ Service To Open Ocean City Restaurant

OCEAN CITY, NJ — An acclaimed local barbecue service will open an Ocean City location. Pork Island BBQ, based in Northfield, will open the Pork Island Grill.

The Pork Island Grill will open this spring on 34th Street and Asbury Avenue. They will offer breakfast, lunch, early dinners, takeout and catering.

The Northfield restaurant won The Press of Atlantic City's "Best of the Press 2019" award for best barbecue. They also earned silver for best catering. Their motto is "Our Pigs are Bacon on the Beach."

"Our plan is to bring our smoked bbq and delicious menu to a wider range of folks and have a place for you to come, have a seat & enjoy your meal," Pork Island BBQ wrote on its Facebook page.

Pork Island BBQ also unveiled the temporary sign at its new location:

I was at a party that Pork Island did the catering everything was excellent the pulled chicken was the best I ever had you have to try," one reviewer said.
