Atlantic City Hosts Bevy of Entertainment for Long Labor Day Weekend
Comics, singers, bands, even a DJ offer a weekend of talent, along with an art show.

Labor Day weekend brings in bevy of entertainment in Atlantic City, with most of the star power at Borgata. Comics, singers, bands even a DJ. Not to mention an art show.
Heavyweight funny man, Gabriel Iglesias - also known as Fluffy - comes to Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa Friday, undoubtedly dressed in a Hawaiian shirt. He’ll regale audiences with stories, complete with sound effects and a myriad of voices. Country superstar Trace Adkins visits the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort Friday. Since 1995, Adkins has released eight studio albums and two greatest hits compilations. In addition, he has charted more than 20 singles on the Billboard country music charts, including “No Thinkin’ Thing”, “Ladies Love Country Boys” and “You’re Gonna Miss This.” Show time is 9 p.m.. Blue Velvet Theatre @ Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort hosts Comedy Crap Shoot Presents The Rev. Bob Levy on Friday and Saturday and again Sept. 25 and 26. The annual Boardwalk Art Show runs Saturday at the Brighton Amphitheater between The Claridge and Bally’s Casino. The event, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., features a variety of fine arts, fine crafts and interactive artists from the tri-state area. Festival Park at Borgata welcomes Counting Crows Saturday night. The Berkeley, Calif. band formed in 1991, is led by Adam Duritz and are known for such hits as “Mr. Jones,” “Round Here,” “Accidentally in Love,” among others. Citizen Cope opens. British singer, Paul Rodgers, brings his extensive catalogue of hits to the Tropicana Casino and Resort Sept. 5. Best known for his success as lead vocalist of Free and Bad Company. After stints in two less successful bands in the 1980s and early 1990s, The Firm and The Law, he became a solo artist. He recently toured and recorded with Queen. Two powerhouse horn heavy ensembles, Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire, stop at Borgata with their Heart and Soul Tour 2015 Sunday.
