Cape May County Zoo Holds Virtual Tours Amid Coronavirus Spread

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ — Looking for something to do while you're stuck at home? The Cape May County Zoo is closed, but they're offering virtual lessons.

Staff hosted a live stream and answered questions Wednesday at "Primate Point." The zoo will feature a short clip every weekday at 11:30 a.m. on their Facebook page.

At the end of each clip, they'll present a challenge you can do from home. Show them how you completed your challenge by sharing photos and videos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram by using #cmczooschool.

There are no confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Cape May County as of Wednesday morning. Governor Phil Murphy reported 89 new cases Tuesday in New Jersey, increasing the state total to 267. Read more: Gov. Murphy: NJ Malls Closing Due To Coronavirus, 89 New Cases

County Freeholder Director Gerald M. Thornton urged visitors to stay home the next two weeks. The zoo is a major visitor attraction, but they found a way to adapt.
