Car Hits 4-Year-Old Girl In Cape May County
There is no indication that the driver used his cell phone or sped during the incident, police said.
LOWER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A car struck a 4-year-old girl Saturday in Lower Township, police said. Officials flew the girl to the Cooper Medical Center in Camden, and she was released from treatment Sunday.
The driver told police that the child ran out in front of him, and he couldn't avoid striking her. There is no indication that the driver used his cell phone or sped during the incident, police said.
The incident occurred around Lennox Avenue and Fishing Creek Road. The 4-year-old girl lives on the 200 block of Lennox Avenue. Police found her several yards from the point of collission.
