Celebration Of Life Set For Ocean City Man, Business Owner
Herbert Edward 'Ed' Reese Jr. worked at 52nd Street Market with his family before he purchased Commercial Maintenance and Cleaning.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — Herbert Edward "Ed" Reese Jr.'s family worked at 52nd Street Market. They were known not just for their cheesesteaks and hoagies but for their love toward everyone who walked in the door.
Reese, 66, died March 2 with his loving wife, Diane, by his side. He spent the day surrounded by his family and friends, according to his obituary.
He was born in Philadelphia to Herb and Jeanne Reese. The family spent summers on the southend of Ocean City, working at 52nd Street Market until they made the city their year-round home.

Reese worked at the market until its closing and purchased his own business, Commercial Maintenance and Cleaning.
"He loved taking care of his clients, fishing on his boat ReeSea, eating good seafood and ice cream with his granddaughters, cooking soup, playing golf and visiting the Masters, and spending time with his family," his obituary says.

Reese is survived by his wife, Diane; daughters Stephanie (Matt) Goldman and Amy (Joe) Kuhar; three granddaughters Charlotte, Lynnley, and Annie Kate Goldman; one grandson Joey Kuhar; one grand dog Rory; sisters Debra Pyne, Marta (Arthur) Evans, and Patricia (Robert) Papaycik; brother Steven (Edith) Reese; brother in law Christopher Smith (Madelyn Isaacs); three nieces and six nephews; best friends Kevin and Will; and countless other friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Jeanne Reese, father Herbert Reese and brother William “Billy” Reese.
