Following the alert, a good samaritan rescued one person from the capsized vessel in the water and reported that another person had been aboard during the incident.

“Overnight, because of safety, we had a C-130 searching from our air station as well as the Coast Guard Cutter Lawrence Lawson that continued to search throughout the night," Coast Guard Petty Officer Stephen Lehmann told Patch on Friday morning. "The larger assets that had better lighting and equipment were stationed out there for the search overnight and then at first light this morning we re-deployed the small boat and helicopter.”
