Dog Saved From House Fire In Ocean City
The Ocean City Fire Department rescued a dog from a house fire on Asbury Avenue Thursday night, according to authorities.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Ocean City Fire Department rescued a dog from a house fire on Asbury Avenue Thursday night, according to authorities.
The dog was united with its owners, who were not inside the home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
Authorities said a neighbor reported the fire. Fifteen firefighters responded just after 8:30 p.m., with assistance from Marmora, Upper Township EMS and Margate fire departments.

On arrival Engine 3 from Station 3 saw heavy fire near the home’s front deck area. Under the command of Acting Deputy Chief William Martin, the fire was placed under control in about 45 minutes.
Authorities said the second floor and exterior of the structure suffered extensive damage.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
