Eagles Fan Left 1 More Message For Team To 'Let Him Down' In Obituary
It looks like Jeffrey Clayton Riegel had his share of heartache as an Eagles fan.

Two Super Bowl losses and years of heartache weren’t enough for Jeffrey Clayton Riegel. The Atlantic City native, who died on Aug. 18 after playing a long overdue game of golf, asked the Philadelphia Eagles to let him down one more time.
Riegel requested in his obituary that eight Philadelphia Eagles serve as his pallbearers so the team “can let him down one more time.”
That’s a little tough on the home team, but the Eagles are used to these jabs from their fans. It should be noted that Riegel was alive when the Eagles won their last championship. He was born on Sept. 5, 1960, in Atlantic City. The Eagles won their last NFL championship on Dec. 26, 1960, when they beat the Green Bay Packers, 17-13, at Franklin Field.

Since he was just two months old at the time, Riegel likely didn’t have fond memories of the afternoon. See his full obituary, posted by Wimberg Funeral Home, below.
On a not so beautiful golfing day, August 18, 2017, Jeffrey Clayton Riegel left this Earth to finish a long overdue game of golf. He was a wonderful husband, uncle, brother and son. In his smiling way he had a kind word for all and always saw the best in everyone. He was the last truly, completely good man. No one that met him failed to love him. He was a true and loyal friend to many. He had his own greetings for his friends, Geno was "hey handsome", Warren was "hey man", Debi was "hey sunshine", and Louie was" hey @#@%*"( inappropriate text). Jeffrey was also known as Toad, Pup, Uncle Fred, or as he told the oncologist on his last days "just call me Lucky", was born on September 5, 1960 in Atlantic City and graduated Mainland High School 1978. He was a very proud member of IBEW Local 351. He recently had been dividing his time between Port Republic and Matlacha, Florida.
