Here's How Cape May County Pet Owners Can Get Free Microchips

You can also get free spaying and neutering for pit bulls, pit bull mixes, and community and free-roaming cats.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, N.J. — The Animal Alliance of Cape May County is cracking down on the issue of stray and unwanted companion animals. The AACMC has offered Cape May County residents free microchipping for all pets and free or reduced rates for spaying and neutering pit bulls and cats.

The AACMC will provide the following to County residents until June 30:

  • free spay and neuter for pit bulls and pit bull mixes
  • free spay and neuter for community or free-roaming cats
  • $15 spay or neuter for owned, pet cats
  • free microchip for all cats and dogs (pet must be spayed or neutered to receive the chip)

Proof of County residency is required. For cat appointments, call 609-465-6388 or go to www.animalalliancecmc.org. For pits, come to the shelter for a voucher. For microchips or any further information, call the shelter at 609-465-8923.
