JiLLy's Brings Easter To Ocean City Families During Coronavirus

The Great Egg Hunt was canceled, but there's a new way for kids to enjoy Easter while social distancing.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City canceled the Great Egg Hunt because of the novel-coronavirus outbreak. But JiLLy's Boardwalk Stores found a safe way to keep the tradition alive.

Jody and Jill Levchuk — owners of JiLLy's — felt awful that kids wouldn't be able to enjoy the Easter tradition. They had already prepared JiLLy's Stores' contribution of pre-filled Easter eggs.

As a result, JiLLy's will give away free Easter egg hunt kits. The kits contain plastic Easter eggs, individually wrapped candy, small gifts and prizes.

Register online until next Wednesday to receive a free kit while supplies last. One kit per family is available, and only Ocean City residents can apply.

JiLLy's will drop off the kits at each home April 11 with no contact, abiding by social-distancing practices.
